Sundays

8.30am Holy Communion (BCP)

Christ Church was founded over 165 years ago using the Book of Common Prayer of 1662 and this congregation continues in this rich tradition to this day.

Our 0830 congregation is nourished by the message of scripture, as well as the profound words of the Prayer Book and shares the Lord’s Supper each week.

This said service is traditional and reverent and yet warm and alive but, sadly, we do not offer any groups for children at this service.

11am Family Service

Our main Sunday Morning service manages to be traditionally Anglican and yet accessible to all, reverent and yet relaxed musically, formal and yet family friendly. We gather each Sunday as a wonderful mix of ages and stages to hear God’s word taught, to sing God’s praises, to pray for the needs of the church family and the world and to encourage one another.

There is an outstanding children’s programme, including crèche, Sunday School and Youth Group. Some Sundays we share Holy Communion, others we enjoy Morning Prayer and there are also occasional all-age services or baptisms.

Music matters at Christ Church with every hymn sung by the congregation or choir carefully chosen to complement the readings and sermon. Our Sunday Morning choir draws its singers from experienced choristers and professional musicians in the church family and from the nearby Royal College of Music, which maintains the highest possible music standard.

6pm Contemporary Evening Service

Our evening congregation is particularly aimed at students and young adults in West London but has a good number of teenagers and a good sprinkling of young families and older folk too. The feel and music are contemporary but there is a desire to remain reverent in our corporate worship.

We gather for tea, coffee and cakes to catch up from 5.30pm and our service runs from 6pm-7.15pm with food available afterwards. Do join us.
